Greetings, I've discovered that regardless of someones health conduction or disability everyone deserves a quality life and to be happy, thats way I became a "compassionate caregiver" it is so important to provide compassionate care to thoughes that need caring for. One of my good friends was in a car accident that left him as a Quadriplegic, now him being such a young man he became very depress with life and I had a problem with that so I decided to learn how to care for him, and I did just that, so I could be of help to my friend and that he could have a quality life. So I took a course on so I learned how to transfer Quadriplegic patients so I could transfer him from his wheel chair to the my car and him from the car to his wheelchair , that alowed us to go places and do things together. Then he began to stop looking at his self deficiencies but started making planes to do things and to love life so he stated visiting places and I enjoyed are times together just like old times. So this is how I got stattrd, involved into caring for people.

I've been in the medical field for over 25 yrs, I have been a nurse assistant for 27 years and Medication Aide for 20 years and a medical assistant for 16 years and have always enjoyed working and helping the elderly, what I am most proud of I've been continuing my education. I also put two daughters though college.what I like most about being a care giver is to know I can make a difference in that person life, and knowing that I can give them hope and encouragement.
1. I became a caregiver because I am naturally drawn towards helping others. 2. I like being a caregiver because I am earning a living by making someones life easier, which makes me feel I am doing a job that has meaning and is worthwhile. 3. A personal achievement I'm proud of is when I became a mother. 4. My other passion is natural health.
My major objective for becoming a caregiver is to make a difference in people's lives. People need a doctor to diagnose and treat their diseases and ailments, they need a nurse to administer medication and treatment when they are sick. However, at all times they need a caregiver to listen to them, attend to their everyday needs and treat them with compassion. That is where I come in. What I like about being a caregiver is that it affords me the opportunity to use what I have, the skill, knowledge, experience coupled with love, honesty and integrity to help people in need. One personal achievement I am proud of is the completion of the NRCPT Phlebotomy Technician's certificate and yet, rather than sit down to do venipuncture, I chose to do what I like most--care for people. I have worked in various aspects of the healthcare system. Overseas, I worked as pharmacy technician, medical assistant and nursing assistant for eight years. Here in the United States I have taken care of different kinds of patients especially the geriatric population and those with Alzheimer's disease as a professional certified by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. I am very reliable, dependable and both a team player and team leader. I do my job with integrity and honesty. Moreover, I take the job personal in that I view the patient as if he/she was my father/grandfather, mother/grandmother, uncle/aunty.
