Hi, my name is Viridiana Rojo (Viri) and I would love to help those in need. I had a grandmother in Mexico that I have helped take care of when I visit, usually 2 weeks at a time. She had diabetes therefore I am familiar with the care she needs, from medicines, skin care routines and helping her around the house because she is not able to walk nor see properly. I also cared for a senior from 2016- July 2019. I would help her with her medications, hygiene, meal prep and picking up groceries. I have a toddler and an infant of my own that I love very much and thanks to them I have learned new skills that I will be applying in any given job; multitasking, communication, housekeeping, meal prep, patience, initiative, and finding new ways to entertain and make someone happy. I have been a caregiver for a year in Kalamazoo, MI, and I am hoping to continue doing so as I venture out to Denver, CO. I have specialized training in working with patients with brain and spinal cord injuries, including those who are paraplegic or quadriplegic. After nursing school, I plan on entering the field of geriatric nursing- working as a caregiver has shown me that I have a passion for working with older adults. Hello! I have always had a passion for caring for others. I am currently working on the prerequisites for my nursing degree to become a emergency room nurse at Arapahoe Community College. I have also been working in a nursing home for the past year as a CNA and am looking for a change of pace. I'm comfortable with all the typical CNA duties and always open to learning more. In the past, I have worked in a drop-in day care facility for all types of children ages 0-12. I've also worked as a nanny for a full year, with kids ages 11 and 7. While in school, I also participated in a program for advanced students, which allowed me to earn my CNA certification during high school. It opened up a new side of me, and instilled a passion for caring for others. I have the confidence to manage a wide range of situations while also maintaining a calm, caring attitude. I love to read stories, do crafts, and have fun while taking care of others. I am also very energetic, compassionate, and dependable.
