I am currently a doctorate degree ISP1 dental student at CU School of Dental Medicine. I have had previous dental working experience at Hospital General de Catalunya in Spain and at White Pearl Dentistry in Ann Arbor, MI. Throughout my time working at these dental clinics, I was able to connect with my patients on a personal level, which helped me gain effective communication skills. My strengths have helped shape my career and have assisted me in achieving my long-term goals. In addition to living in Egypt and USA, I lived in Barcelona, Spain where I obtained a Masters Degree in Dentistry. This exposed me to a different culture and allowed me to become fluent in Spanish during this short period of time. Being trilingual and having lived abroad, I am able to effectively communicate with patients of various cultures. It has helped me gain insight into potential barriers or obstacles that may arise when caring for patients from different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Addressing every patient with adequate respect and professionalism is a priority of mine. My customer service skills and exposure to a different type of workplace was brought about from holding a variety of positions throughout my work experience. In addition to working at multiple dental clinics, I have also worked as a handball coach, an Uber driver and as an English teacher. These experiences taught me that if a customer/patient leaves happy and has a positive outlook on your work, the trust will be gained, and he/she will return back for more service. This also pertains to any healthcare setting; If there is no foundation of trust between the healthcare provider and the patient, effective treatment will be delayed. I would appreciate the chance to bring my leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills to my future job. I will step into work every day striving to deliver the best service by adapting to each customer entrusted into my care.
