I tend to think that what makes me a great caregiver is that I go up and beyond the call for the job. I tend to personalize each client and give more than is required. I tend to wish above all that the client is in a better condition than I find them. I have over twenty years of experience. I like to keep a great personality and keep it bubbly rather than mono tone. I used to take care of my 76 year old grandmother with a list of medical conditions but she recently passed away. I not only miss her but miss taking of someone the same way I did with her these past few years. I like that people can tell me that I am a nice and helping person and actually mean it.

By showing empathy, compassion,attentiveness, dependability and trust worthy. Actually back home I ran my own day care and I also took care of my grandmother . Being a care giver is such an honor because I actually put away my needs to help others. What I enjoyed most is cleaning the home because when the home is dirty it's makes me sick. Personal achievement I am proud of was that one of the client I took care of her trusted me so much that she told me her security code to her safe.

The love and passion that I have in my heart for helping people gives me the ability to be the amazing care giver that I am today. Its more to me than just a job. I believe its a true calling to be able to help someone who is in need. Being in the medical field I was able to help my patients during the time of the office visit, but once they were gone I didn't have as much of an impact on them. It bothered me very bad because I felt that's when the most help was needed. So with great influences and planning I decided to transition into the caregiving field. I allowed me to encounter patients in a totally different way. I was now able to help them before and after. Which gave me much more joy than just seeing them in the office. As a caregiver its there are multiple things I enjoy but the most is interacting with a patient and building a bond that no one can break. Over the past 4 years I have accomplished a lot of goals both personally and professionally but one of the most outstanding accomplishments. Is knowing that I chosen to make someone worse day their best or their last days as comfortable and peaceful as possible. The fact that a family can rest knowing their loved ones are in my care.

Hello, my name is Arriyon. Also known to many as Arri. I'm 19 years old and a college student. My major is nursing. I want to become a geriatric nurse which is dealing with my elders. I'm not certified however I grew up with my grandparents who both have diabetes. I know live with my aunt who is a nurse with her own company and I sometimes help her with her hospice patients. I honestly adore my elders with a passion for people.

I am a senior nursing student expected to graduate in December, 2020. I am a member of Sigma Theta Thau, an international nursing honors society, which I am proud to say. I have three years of employment experience in a healthcare setting, and over 200 hours of patient care experience from clinical learning. I am interested in being a home health caregiver because I believe it will be a great experience that I can carry on to my nursing career after graduation.
