I'm very compassionate I love taking care of the elderly keeping their company taking them to grocery shopping to the mall for a walk exercise activities or just fun thing, whatever they love I always engage myself into it and give them all of my time. I was really sick 20 years ago. I got better finally. But through the course of my illness I met some really wonderful caregivers and I wanted to be able to touch someone's life the way they touched mine. I absolutely love caring for individuals that cannot care for themselves. I like to make them comfortable in anyway possible. I believe that the care you give is the way you would want to be treated. My most recent position really touched my heart. I worked with clients with traumatic brain injury. I absolutely loved caring for them. They had normal lives just like you and me until one day they had a tragic accident that changed their life forever. I cared for 3 guys. Each one sustained a TBI through a tragic motor vehicle accident. They were very unique and each one had a personality that just touched my heart. Unfortunately, I had to leave the company as I recently relocated to Miami, FL to be closer to family. I want to continue that care here in Florida!!

I became a caregiver because there are so many elderly people out in the world that are being left aloneand I love being a caregiver becauee I get to meet new people and very proud to give me time and love to people that don't have no one to give them the time

I am happy I enjoy laughing and smiling .I have been doing this type of work for over ten years simply because I love it....I am a people person.I am proud that my last patient got back on his feet after I was there helping him and encouraging him that he coukd do it and in a few weeks he did it and no longer needed me.That was the happiest days of my life.I enjoy fixing there meals helping them get dressed for the day so we can get srarted...If they have meds to take I will make sure they are tooken..If they are capable of going out we will take a ride but if not then we will do things inside tge home.play cards..checkers ect.If they are bed ridden I will make sure they stayed dry and eat there food and roa turning them from one side to another ...If they are in a wheel chair I will pivet them from the bed to there wheel chair...I can not exspress how much I enjoy helping the elderly It brings happiness to me and to them..I am use to working with bed sores I know how to change the band aids on them and to keep them clean.
