His days are highly variable and hours will shift accordingly. We'd love someone who lives nearby (Echo Park, Silver Lake, Los Feliz area) and could occasionally come on shorter notice when he's having a rough day. Flexibility is essential for this role. What the role looks like: Companionship and company. Some days he'll want to go to the driving range, take a walk, or work on something with his hands. Other days he'll be more home-bound. You need to be comfortable reading the day and adjusting Awareness of his medication schedule and making sure he's taking them on time while you're there. A dispenser handles the actual dosing — you just need to know the rhythm Driving him to activities and occasional appointments. Reliable car needed Meal prep and cooking on days that call for it Helping him stay organized and on track with everyday items. He has a tendency to misplace things like his wallet, keys, and phone, so a patient, watchful eye for keeping things accounted for goes a long way We're hoping to help him build more routine and get connected to local activities or groups in the area. Someone proactive and resourceful about that would be a huge plus Roughly 10am-3pm, 3-4 days a week to start, with hours shifting based on how he's feeling Down the line, we'd want to discuss expanded or full coverage when my husband and I travel and/or as the disease progresses
