I am looking for a weekend caregiver for my husband who has ALS (no dementia). He is 48 years old. We can be flexible on the hours, but ideally looking for Saturday/Sunday 10-2 or 11-3. We would love to find someone who could integrate with our primary caregiver to help fill in when she is out on vacation (with enough notice of course) or when I am on business travel. We are located near HWY 50 and Bass Lake Road in El Dorado Hills. He is able to stand and pivot transfer with assistance He is able to eat/breathe on his own No cough assist or suction is required We will provide at least 2 paid training days to work alongside his current primary caregiver who has been with us for 5 ½ years. I work from home and will not leave on weekends to run errands until you are comfortable with the duties A non-smoker is preferred as he is sensitive to smell The job entails some light cleaning, light cooking or meal prep, and ROM exercises Experience caring for a person with ALS a plus Basic computer experience a plus Pay is $18/hr Email to start process and provide references and work history.
