Seeking a compassionate, skilled WPCS caregiver in Sacramento County for part-time care of a fragile, bedbound patient. This role requires an experienced individual proficient in caring for patients easily injured and dependent on specialized equipment. Must be enrolled in IHSS/WPCS. Key responsibilities include:Ventilator care and tracheostomy management, including suctioning (no training provided). Safe operation of a patient lift for comfort and safety. PEG tube management for feeding and medication. Gentle care for a completely bedbound patient with extreme fragility. Light housekeeping to maintain a clean environment. Meal preparation tailored to patient’s dietary needs. Requirements: Proven expertise in ventilator care, tracheostomy suctioning, patient lifts, and PEG tubes (no training provided). Physical strength for safe transfers to minimize discomfort. Exceptional compassion and patience for the patient’s delicate condition. Flexible hours for irregular sleep schedules, including day or night shifts, and on-call availability for emergencies. Must live nearby. Commitment to a long-term role, requiring months of specialized training for patient-specific needs. Ability to perform light housekeeping and meal assistance with attention to detail. This role demands a dedicated caregiver focused on patient safety and comfort, with reliability and long-term commitment.
