Looking for a reliable and strong caregiver near Alameda, CA to care for my father (6’’, 200 lbs) who is paralyzed on one side from a stroke. He also has aphasia, so speech is limited to short words and his yes/no answers are sometimes reversed. Patience and clear communication are essential. Care is needed 7 days per week, twice daily: • Afternoon (12–2 PM, about 1 hr): Transfer from bed to wheelchair, assist with showering, drying, dressing, and move to living room chair. • Evening (7–9 PM, about 45 min 1 hour): Transfer from wheelchair to bathroom, help with toileting and brushing teeth, undress, and safely transfer into bed. No cooking or housekeeping required — focus is strictly safe transfers and personal care. Must be physically strong, trustworthy, and dependable. Male caregiver strongly preferred for safety. Approximately 14–20 hours per week. Long-term position with potential IHSS transition for pay stability.
