My mother is in her early 80s and has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She is physically active, enjoys walking around her neighborhood, and still participates in occasional line dancing and yoga classes with some encouragement. She prefers speaking Mandarin but is proficient in English. She lives independently in Laguna Woods and is trying hard to retain her independence for as long as possible. She has good energy and a kind personality, but her memory issues are becoming more noticeable. She would do best with a calm, patient, and engaging caregiver—ideally someone who speaks Mandarin. We are looking for help 2–3 times a week with: - Light housekeeping (fridge checks, leftovers) - Transportation home from an adult day care program or activities nearby (Irvine area) - Make dinner - Make sure she showers with soap and shampoo - Companionship and gentle encouragement to stay active and social - Medication reminders and general wellness check-ins Please reach out if you’re experienced in memory care and can support her with warmth, respect, and consistency. Strong communication with our family (myself and my two siblings) is important.
