I am seeking several reliable, patient, and communicative caregivers to provide in-home care coverage totaling 12 hrs/day, 7 days/week for my father. Full-time, part-time, daytime, evening-only, weekday-only, and weekend-only shifts are available, depending on caregiver availability -- If you are unable to work a scheduled shift or believe my father requires emergency overnight care, you may be expected to contact our designated backup in-home care service to arrange coverage -- Additionally, the following duties are required: *Grocery shopping, which refers only to meal planning and assisting with ordering groceries for delivery *Communicating with me regarding any concerns or unmet needs *Completing a simple shift brief form by the end of each shift *Communicating with other caregivers at shift changes *Monitoring and encouraging adequate fluid and protein intake *Assisting only with doctor-approved medications/supplements (list provided) *Assisting with the care of my dads Shar-pei mix, Ginger (must be comfortable with dogs) *Assisting my dad with using the basic functions of his Apple devices and other tech *Encouraging my dad to get up often throughout the day, but not to over-exert himself *Encouraging and facilitating my dad spending time outdoors, weather permitting *Assisting with light organizing and decluttering projects as time permits -- Some shifts will also include the following required duties: *Assisting with appointments and other outings including transporting my dad using his vehicle *Assisting with weekly in-home training sessions for Ginger with her trainer -- In addition to a background check, applicants must meet the following requirements: *Have reliable transportation to/from work (you are not required to use your own vehicle) *Possess a valid drivers license and have a clean DMV record -- Professional references are strongly encouraged.
