We are looking for a kind, reliable caregiver to help care for our 15-year-old daughter, who has Cerebral Palsy. She is a bright, funny, full-of-life teenager who enjoys connection, conversation, and being involved in the world around her. We are beginning the process of helping her transition to receiving care from people outside of our immediate family as she moves toward adulthood. This is an important step for her independence and confidence, and we are looking for someone patient, dependable, and respectful who can become a trusted support person in her life. Care would include helping with daily needs such as transfers, toileting, bathing, dressing, meals, mobility support, exercise, supervision, companionship, and making sure she is safe and comfortable. Experience with Cerebral Palsy, mobility challenges, disability care, transfers, or personal care is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. We are currently looking for help on Mondays, Saturdays and/or Sundays, including morning and evening shifts. Reliability is very important, as our family is working toward building a consistent support system. The ideal caregiver is warm, patient, dependable, encouraging, and comfortable supporting a teenager with physical care needs while also treating her with dignity, respect, and age-appropriate independence.
