We seek a caregiver/companion for my wife (age 70) for 4-8 hours on 1-2 days a week, 2-3 weeks per month, sometimes four, with 1-2 weeks notice to arrange specific days/weeks. Most days would be weekdays, some weekend days possible. Duties include light housework/cleaning, help with dressing, personal hygiene, taking her around the house and the outside deck in a transfer chair, some food preparation, helping with transfer from the chair to the toilet or a regular chair. The house is entirely on one floor with a wheelchair ramp entrance/exit through the attached garage. The bathroom is fully equipped with grab bars, toilet rails, and hygienic supplies, including gloves, cleaners, wipes and cloths, and so on. Husband would be home at the beginning and end of every shift. Salary $30.00 p/hr, reimbursement for gas expense can be negotiated.
