Care Provider For Special Needs Adult - Every Other Saturday - Colo Spgs 80904 Preferred Times: 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm or 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm (if you would like more hours) My brother was born with Tuberous Sclerosis. He is non-verbal and uses a wheelchair, but can transfer to sofa or toilet on their on (with just a little assistance adjusting position when seated). He is unable to stand on his feet, as his feet contracted due to a lengthy illness when he was young. He can knee-walk on his own. He does need assistance toileting and wears pull-ups. He can feed himself if you place food on his fork or spoon and he can drink from a glass. The family will be home when you are caring for the individual, should you have questions or need assistance. Meds are oral liquid and chewable pills - which we assist with - meds are given on spoon or liquids in an oral syringe. He takes his meds very well. Our primary care giver has been with us for over 20 years, but we need someone on her days off. There are other days and times available in addition to Wednesdays. Someone who is not talkative is a good fit. You can watch TV at a low volume. Services needed include: meal preparation, light housekeeping (dishes in dishwasher after meals, folding clothes), assistance toileting, assistance changing into pajamas and overall supervision.
