In search of a responsible and loyal caregiver to help take care of Father, located near New Smyrna Beach, FL. Days and hours can be flexible. Ideally 5-10 hours per week starting January 6, 2022 through February 28, 2022. Caregiver would be providing relief and peace of mind for my mother (who provides full-time care) while she goes out to play tennis, runs errands, etc. Father is almost 86 years old and has dementia. He is very attached to my mother and gets very anxious when she is not around. Need a caregiver to provide companionship, take him for walks (he LOVES dogs so if you have a dog that would be a plus), encourage him to shower, and remind him to take his pills. Also, he does not acknowledge that he has any kind of problem, so he will most likely be resistant to someone coming in to sit with him. He has bad days and can be mean, so caregiver should have a thick skin and a strong backbone. For this reason, we would prefer either a male or an older, *very* experienced female caregiver.
