We need hands-on care to take care of my mother in Punta Gorda. She has ALS and cannot move from the neck down, so the job requires ability to shift her body as needed (heavy lifting) and bending and squatting to help with her positioning. The typical shift includes helping to get her out of bed in the morning using the hoyer lift, assist with eating breakfast, range of motion exercises, massage, her shower routine, brushing teeth, lotion, getting dressed, eating lunch, etc. Multiple hoyer lift transfers to use the bathroom throughout the afternoon. We need someone that is efficient but with a gentle touch and calming energy. No smokers (very smell sensitive). Dedicated and serious applicants only. Looking for someone dependable, reliable, and consistent.
