We are seeking a responsible and compassionate caregiver located in or near Atlanta, GA to help care for elderly father with advanced dementia and elderly dog. Caregiver(s) we are seeking can fill in any of the night time shifts available (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday). Each nighttime shift hours should be from 8 to 12 hours long. If doing a 12 hour shift, you can start your shift at 8pm. If doing an 8 hour shift, you can start your shift at 10pm. Please specify what days and hours work for you. Our daytime caretakers typically start at 8am and finish at 8pm. The activities of nighttime assistance performed by the caregiver(s) for my father primarily include Toileting. Caregiver needs to assist him to the bathroom when he wakes up and make sure he stays clean through the night. Additional assistance performed by caregiver include Clothing, Bathing (when necessary), Grooming (like toothbrushing, flossing), Changing Bed Linens/Diapers, Applying skin creams (as needed), Housekeeping (cleaning area(s) used by caregiver, father, and dog). My father can walk by himself slowly but due to dementia and seeing difficulties needs direction. The caregiver also needs to check on the dog periodically through the night, change any pee pads that he has urinated on, giving him a little water if he seems thirsty. He has very limited mobility, so he may need to be picked up from time to time to change his pee pads. Dog Lovers welcome!
