My daughter has a degenerative neurological disorder and has recently retired from her position as a Behavioral Scientist at the Centers for Disease Control. She lives at home with her husband, also a professional, who works remotely. They have just completed remodeling their home, which is handicap accessible. She uses a wheelchair and a speech device to help with communication. There are no cognitive issues. We are looking for an experienced, dependable, caring individual to help with daily care to include bathing, dressing & grooming, toileting, transferring & mobility and who will facilitate her involvement in activities such as aqua therapy, speech therapy, continued educational activities, as well as contributions to support groups. You will be part of a small team of 2 caregivers who have been committed to our family for up to 6 years. The schedule involves rotating shifts, including weekends, as well as the possibility of rare overnight stays (the latter with almost no active responsibilities needed). Experienced, professional, dedicated, and serious applicants only. Must have reliable transportation and live within 30 minutes.
