Compassionate Dementia Caregiver Needed – Orland Park, 12 hrs/week We’re looking for a warm, patient and experienced caregiver to spend time with our mother in her Orland Park home three days a week, four hours a day. She lives with dementia and is gentle and generally easygoing, but she often gets confused about where she is and who is around her. Our father is her main caregiver, and this role will give him regular time to rest and get out of the house. Her care would include: Help with bathing and personal care Help getting in and out of chairs and on and off the toilet (safe transfer experience needed) Company and engagement: conversation, card games, puzzles, music, short walks Preparing simple meals and snacks Light housekeeping: dishes, dusting, tidying her living areas We’re looking for someone who: Has hands-on experience caring for someone with dementia or Alzheimer’s Stays calm and kind when she is confused, and gently redirects instead of correcting her Is reliable and on time. Our dad will be counting on these hours. Can pass a background check and provide references Has CNA training, a good fit but not required Schedule: 3 days a week, 4-hour shifts (days and times flexible: [insert preferred days/times]) Pay: $25-$28/hour, depending on experience Start: As soon as possible To apply, please tell us about your dementia care experience and why you enjoy this work.
