Family seeking a reliable, compassionate caregiver to provide ongoing weekday support for an 89-year-old veteran living independently in his longtime home in Upper Marlboro. He is experiencing increasing memory issues and some incontinence challenges, so we are looking for someone who can provide calm companionship, practical support, and attentive oversight. This is not a high-medical-needs situation, but the ideal caregiver will be dependable, patient, observant, and comfortable assisting with hygiene and personal care needs when necessary. RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: • Companionship and engagement • Meal preparation/light food support • Light housekeeping and laundry • Bathroom/incontinence assistance as needed • General supervision and safety awareness • Encouraging light movement/activity • Occasional assistance with local errands or transportation to dr. appointments/outings over time SCHEDULE: Seeking regular weekday afternoon support, approximately: • Monday–Friday • Approximately 4–5 hours per day - afternoons to early evenings ideal Additional hours may become available over time if it is a strong fit. COMPENSATION: • Approximately $17–22/hour depending on experience, responsibilities, availability, and overall fit IDEAL PERSON: • Prior senior caregiving experience preferred • Experience with memory-related care helpful • Calm, dependable, and patient • Strong communication and reliability are extremely important • Reliable transportation is very helpful • Non-smoker preferred • References requested Family is highly involved and supportive and is looking for someone who values consistency, kindness, and building a comfortable relationship with an older adult in his home environment.
