In-home support staff wanted, 3-4 hrs/week on a Tues, Thurs. or Fri., starting ASAP, with ability to be able to work a full day on April 13 (surgery date) with increased hours (6-8 hrs, two days a week) for the three weeks following surgery. Support staff will assist Merle throughout the day with their home management tasks. Support staff will assist with sorting and shredding mail, assist with communications and paperwork related to disability/illness and maintaining support services, including help with advocacy in case of barriers. Support staff will assist with household tasks as needed including laundry, vacuuming, dishes, household management and organization, grocery shopping, meal prep, taking out trash/recycling as needed, and cleaning medical equipment (CPAP machine). There will be surgery-related supports needed on the day of surgery in April and in the weeks following (wound care, bandaging, emptying drains, extra lifting tasks during weight restriction.) Help with errands and driving client as needed. Support staff will help with medication dispenser filling and attend medical appointments as needed. Support staff will help with organizing the home after a move. Must have a car and be able to lift at least 40 lb (occasionally will need to move items in and out of storage.) Staff working the following 8 holidays will be paid time and a half of their regular hourly rate. New Years Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Juneteeth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving Day. The managing party and FMS will keep track of these funds/hours as they are used and adjust as necessary. DHS background check will be required. Rate of pay: $20-24.84/hr depending on experience. A pay raise will be available 9/1/27 if support worker remains in good standing. A bonus is offered twice a year; PTO and FMLA offered, plus flexible time off.
