Our family is looking for a kind, dependable caregiver to help care for my father in Georgetown, MS. He is in his mid-70s and is very sweet and mostly independent. He can walk on his own (just slowly), use the restroom independently, and feed himself. He is a pancreatic cancer survivor and has been cancer-free for several years. He does wear protective briefs due to occasional leakage, so some light assistance with changing bedding or cleanup may be needed. Hours: 2 days per week Approximately 2–4 hours total per week Morning or afternoon (we are flexible) Duties may include: Assisting with showering or helping him get ready to shower Light grooming assistance Preparing a simple snack or light meal Taking him for a short walk or spending time with him Light cleanup, such as changing bedding if needed This position is mainly to give my mother some much-needed help and a chance to rest. My father is not bedridden and does not require constant care—he simply needs someone patient, caring, and dependable to provide a little extra support. Payment & Employment Details: Pay: $20–$25 per hour based on experience (higher rate may be considered for the right candidate). Paid weekly via direct deposit, Zelle, or another agreed-upon payment method. This is a private-pay position (not through an agency or insurance). We will provide a simple written agreement outlining the schedule, responsibilities, pay, and expectations. We are hoping to find someone for a long-term arrangement and would like to begin with a three - six-month agreement, if it's a good fit for everyone.
