Looking for a part-time caregiver for our wonderful 13 year old son who has a rare neurogenetic disorder. Ideal schedule: one full weekend day plus two weekday afternoons. Our son is enthusiastic, affectionate, and full of light. He is non-verbal but communicates through signs, gestures, and his tablet. He is joyful, funny, understands most everything, and loves being outdoors, swimming, and spending time with loved ones. He needs support with daily living skills and safety. Responsibilities include ensuring his well-being, supporting communication and behavior, taking him to the park, therapy, and other activities, and assisting with light housework. Experience with special needs children is preferred, but most important is patience, warmth, and a calming presence, with the ability to see the world through his eyes.
