We are looking for a reliable and responsive caregiver near Morton, PA to assist our Dad with day-to-day life and getting around. Dad has dementia to the point where he no longer drives, and it is better to accompany him whenever he goes out to activities and events. We are looking for someone who will do things like go for walks with him, and drive him out to activities, stay with him at those activities, and then drive him home. During the summer, for example, there are concerts at Rose Tree park; in the past, he has gone to nearly every single concert all summer. If we can find someone who could accompany him to these concerts (held Wednesday - Sunday weekly, weather permitting), that would be great, but we can easily be flexible and work around your schedule, as well. Other weekly activities he usually engages in are going to church on Sunday morning, and to the weekly "Lunch & Learn" series at the PAC center in Swarthmore. Someone who could provide help with any or all of this sort of thing would welcome. We plan on discussing your availability with you, and seeing what you can do for us -- hours are entirely negotiable. We currently have someone providing meals and cleaning the house for him, so we don't need that for now, but this could change. So, for the next couple of months, you can enjoy laid-back concerts in the park all summer, and get paid for it! Get in touch if interested, we hope to hear from you.
