Hi! I’m looking for a compassionate, licensed nurse (CNA, RN or LPN) to support me at home after my upcoming laparoscopic surgery. I’m hoping for short-term, daytime care—about 6 hours for the first 2 days, then tapering to 3–4 hours over the next few days as I recover. What I’ll need help with: Keeping on schedule with medications and managing any pain or discomfort Monitoring for any post-surgery complications (fever, bleeding, unusual pain) Assisting with getting in and out of bed, walking, and showering safely Light meal prep and staying hydrated Light household tasks as needed, such as laundry, dishes, or tidying up Providing calm, reassuring support—just having someone there to feel safe and cared for About you: Licensed RN or LPN with experience supporting post-surgical patients, ideally laparoscopic or abdominal surgeries Professional, kind, and attentive, with a comforting presence Flexible and reliable for short-term, daytime shifts Comfortable with a small, quiet home environment (my dog will be cared for separately) If this sounds like a good fit, please share your experience with surgical recovery care, references. I’m looking for someone not just skilled, but genuinely caring—this support will make a big difference during recovery.
