I am looking for a reliable, compassionate, and attentive personal assistant for late evening shifts in Lindenhurst, NY. This position is funded through New York's Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP). You will work alongside my current daytime caregiver to ensure I am safely set up for a comfortable night's rest. Schedule / Hours: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday: 9:00 PM – 11:00 PM Potential for additional hours: (as needed) Key Duties: Mobility Support: Assisting me safely into bed at the end of the evening. Nighttime Routine: Setting up a small evening snack and a drink. Exercise Assistance: Helping with light therapeutic exercises and leg stretching. Safety Check: Ensuring a safe, tidy, and secure home environment before departing. Requirements & Qualifications: No formal HHA or PCA certification required (CDPAP allows you to work without state health licenses). Must pass standard medical clearance and a background check through the state's fiscal intermediary (PPL). Must be highly dependable, punctual, and comfortable working late evening hours. Living locally in or near Lindenhurst is highly preferred. Pay Rate: $20.05 per hour (Paid securely via the Medicaid fiscal intermediary program).
