Need a compassionate, reliable caregiver located near Hunter, NY, to help care for my father, age 90, who is has significant mobility challenges after a bad fall and long inpatient rehab. Mom simply cannot care for Dad alone. Dad is alert and oriented, and desperately wants to avoid returning to a nursing home permanently. Help is needed at least 4 days per week. Schedule flexibility is certainly possible. I would estimate 30 hours per week. The caregiver will be responsible for helping Dad with the following: bathing, grooming, toileting, transferring & mobility, and prescribed PT exercises. And if you enjoy local history, Dad can teach you lots about it! Any serious applicant will be considered. Time is of the essence.
