Seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver to assist my 77-year-old aunt in her home near Somers, NY, beginning October 17, 2026. Care is needed during morning and evening shifts, seven days per week. Responsibilities include companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation, bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers, mobility assistance, and fall prevention. CNA, HHA, or similar caregiving experience is strongly preferred. My aunt is a proud lifelong New Yorker and retired elementary school teacher who is intelligent, mentally sharp, cognitively intact, and fully involved in decisions regarding her care. She has a wonderful sense of humor, enjoys meaningful conversation, and values kindness, professionalism, and reliability. As a former educator, she appreciates organization, punctuality, structure, consistency, and clear communication. She is independent, detail-oriented, and has high personal standards, making trust and mutual respect especially important. While she remains active and engaged mentally, she uses a walker and requires assistance with walking safely, transfers, bathing, and toileting. Preserving her dignity, independence, and quality of life is a top priority. We are seeking a caregiver who is warm, friendly, patient, confident, organized, and experienced supporting seniors with mobility limitations. The ideal candidate will enjoy conversation and companionship, respect her preferences and independence, and provide thoughtful, consistent, and compassionate care in a supportive one-on-one home environment.
