Need a patient, reliable caregiver (or two) willing to travel to the Village of Hunter, NY, to work with my father, age 90, who is has significant mobility challenges after a bad fall and long inpatient rehab stay. Mom simply cannot care for Dad alone. Dad desperately wants to avoid returning to a nursing home permanently. Help is needed at least 4 days per week. Schedule flexibility is certainly possible. I would estimate the need is for 30 hours per week, but *any* hours would help. The caregiver will be responsible for helping Dad with the following: toileting, grooming, bathing, transferring & mobility, and prescribed PT exercises. And if you enjoy local history, Dad can teach you lots about it, as he's an historian! Any serious applicant will be considered. Time is of the essence.
