My mother is 64 and developed an autoimmune disorder about 10 years ago which has led to several disorders over time. She has nystagmus which greatly affects her vision/balance, diabetes, stiffmans in her left hand, and some neurological degeneration affecting some of her speech and cognition at times. Due to a fall and her weakend state she is unable to stand or walk and spends much of the time in bed other than for home therapy. Despite, she is very aware, talkative, and friendly. Her faith has been important in her life through this process. Our father/her husband is around but is getting older and cant do it all himself. Mostly looking for someone to help with general things like helping get ready, bathe/wash hair occasionally, light cleaning, laundry, meal prep, and companionship when us kids are at work or my father has errands or needs a break. Schedule is open but would like a couple days during the week around late morning-afternoon to start and see how it goes from there. They do have 3 indoor/outdoor dogs. All are mid-size to small and super friendly! They live in the country in a single story brick ranch country home.
