Looking to hire a patient Christian woman with some training or hands-on experience with Dementia/Elder care patients. Need a dependable caregiver with a sense of humor to take care of Mom and some help for Dad, located in Broken Arrow, OK. Both parents need assistance. (Will know specific hours soon). Caregiver should be able to start soon, possible early to mid May. The caregiver is expected to help with hygiene, making sure showers are taken, companionship, housekeeping, meal prep, making sure that both parents are eating and getting proper nutrition, medication reminders, errands and taking Mom on walks. Mom has Dementia but is able to walk, talk and dress herself and shower. My Dad lives in the home but is physically unable to give her the proper attention she needs as he needs some lite help as well. So you would be be responsible for some of his requests too. He still drives, but you would possibly take them both to Drs. appointments locally as well as to OKC or Muskogee. Right now we are not sure on schedule, it could start out part-time to full-time including weekends. Will have to see how it works out. Being a Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), or any nurse type experience is a definite plus. Non-Smoker, must have own transportation and verifiable references, be willing to have a background/criminal check. Bonded or insured a plus. Salary dependent on experience $10-$15hr.
