We are a family of 4. My wife and I have a 12 and 9 year old. We are looking for a consistent, part-time household assistant/companion aide to support a veteran and his family navigating his permanent, service-connected physical and cognitive limitations, alongside recent injury recovery. Needs: Act as a logistical force-multiplier for our household, taking the physical and mental burden of routine and instrumental tasks off the family team so we can maintain a stable, sustainable daily baseline. Primary Duties: Household Logistics: Taking the lead on weekly meal prep and planning, grocery shopping, and running local supply errands. Daily Maintenance: Handling light housekeeping, laundry rotation, kitchen reset, and basic organization. Pacing Support: Assisting with schedule tracking, appointment coordination, or driving for errands when needed. Ideal Candidate: Highly organized, proactive, and values clear communication. Must be able to take direction on tasks and work independently to clear daily bottlenecks. Must be deeply respectful of a quiet household dynamic during daytime hours when a night-shift worker is sleeping. Logistical and Schedule Details: Preferred Schedule: Ideally looking for 3 to 4 hours per shift, 3 to 4 days a week (preferably Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), starting around late morning or early afternoon. Pet-Friendly Required: We have a very friendly, large Maine Coon cat, so candidates must be comfortable working in a home with a pet. Work Style: We are looking for a reliable self-starter. The ideal assistant is someone who can see what needs to be done around the house (such as resetting the kitchen, laundry rotation, or organizing a space) and independently take care of it without needing constant direction.
