Exploring the options to find might be a good fit for our small caregiving team for my mother, Joan, and if we may be a good fit for them. We're located in Vancouver. Mom is 81, originally from the UK, a stage 4 breast cancer survivor (treatment ended in 2010). She has severe osteoporosis, multiple fractures (hips, spine), scoliosis, and labile blood pressure. She can walk short distances with a walker and needs full-contact transfer support. CARE: assistance with ADLs (dressing, meals, bathroom, medications-Losartan twice daily, eye drops), plus companionship (Scrabble, light exercises, short walks). SCHEDULE: part-time to start-full days Friday, half days Tuesday/Thursday. TEAM: myself, Stacy (RN), and Lisa (OT) on weekends. I'm her only child and have often been her primary caregiver. We maintain a detailed daily log of vitals and care. Thanks!
