In search of a kind, loving and artistic soul to provide a few (4-6) flexible hours of companionship and care each week for my friend Wade. I've been providing support for him, but my work is amping up and we need extra support. Wade is 72 and in the early stages of dementia. He wants to stay in his condo as long as he can (rather than move to assisted living), so we're looking for someone to come twice a week for maybe 2-3 hours each visit (flexible). Wade needs intermittent help with a few tasks - grocery shopping, condo cleaning, food prep and acquisition (mostly takeout!) - plus getting him out to walk for exercise and some companionship. Possible transpo to a few appointments nearby at Providence if I'm out of town.
