Hands-on care support needed for our mother who lives near Franklin (Cooperstown area). She will be residing beside family in an attached (but separate) handicap-accessible unit. She uses a wheelchair but can transition easily. She uses incontinence products and needs help with daily dressing, bathing, light housekeeping and laundry. Medication and food prompting is required. She loves conversation, music (especially singing), and looking out the windows. A care giver should encourage her to participate in small activities. We are seeking 2 part-time care givers, each working 3-4 mornings per week so that the family has help 6-7 days per week. Previous experience with dementia is a plus. Positions are expected to begin in early March.
