We are a family in need of part-time help for our 24-year old daughter with cerebral palsy. This is a year round position. We are looking to hire someone who can work holidays and weekends. A typical morning will consists of waking her up, administering oral meds, dressing, feeding, and having her walk on her treadmill in her walker and ride her tricycle. A typical evening will consist of administering oral meds, showering her, brushing teeth, dressing, feeding, and putting her into bed. We are a family of three so you will be eating dinner with us or sometimes you will take her to hang out with a friend or boyfriend. In the summertime, you will be taking her to the pool or the park. A large part of the job is providing companionship so when our daughter has free time she may want to play a card game, watch a movie, sing karaoke, or talk. There is downtime and during these times there will be vacuuming, laundry, and meal preparation. You must love animals as we have four dogs and a cat. You must be patient and kind. Someone with a sunny disposition, good sense of humor, and high energy would be a welcome addition to our family. You must be dependable. The pay is $18/hour and we pay bi-weekly and withhold taxes.
