I have cataract surgery scheduled for 6 November and 20 November 2025 at Calloway County Hospital in Murray Ky. Hospital policy requires that I have someone with me to drive me home after the surgery. The distance from my home at 7614 State Route 2422, Wingo Ky. to the hospital is 28.7 miles which makes it approximately a 40 minute drive. I am not sure how long I will be in the hospital. The surgery itself (outpatient) is expected to take only a few minutes. However, the entire process might require much longer. I have follow up appointments with my optometrist at Mayfield scheduled for the mornings following the sugeries. I might need help with those also.
