Seeking Strong & Compassionate Caregiver for Beloved 90-Year-Old Man We are seeking a reliable, patient, and physically capable caregiver to assist our wonderful 90-year-old father-in-law in his home. He is a deeply kind man who is beloved by his family. He lives with his wife of over 50 years, and his son and daughter-in-law live on the same street and are very actively involved in his care. His wife will be present and will provide specific directions regarding his daily routine, including his meal preferences, the timing of his showers and necessary housework. We are looking for someone who is respectful, communicates well, and is comfortable taking direction to help him maintain his dignity and comfort at home. Primary Responsibilities: Personal Care: Providing hands-on assistance with showering, bathing, and managing incontinence. Mobility Assistance: Helping him safely transfer from his bed to a chair, etc. He walks with a walker. Housekeeping & Meals: Managing his laundry, light housekeeping (specifically mopping floors and cleaning his bathroom), and assisting with some food preparation. Key Requirements: Physical Strength: He is a fall risk. The caregiver must be strong enough to safely lift and assist him in the event of a fall, as well as help with daily transferring. Dementia Experience: Must have experience caring for individuals with dementia and approach him with patience and understanding. Communication: He is hard of hearing, so the caregiver must be patient and speak clearly. Team Player: Must be comfortable working collaboratively with his wife and family who are actively involved in his daily life. Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 8am - 2pm and 4pm - 9pm. There is an opportunity for this position to become full-time. Pay: Please let us know your rate.
