About who needs care: My sister Julie is living with the long-term effects of a traumatic brain injury. She is paralyzed on her right side and has short-term memory loss, with possible early dementia symptoms related to age. She cannot walk independently and requires help transferring between her wheelchair, bed, and bedside toilet. Despite these challenges, Julie is smart, articulate, and sweet. She enjoys conversation, watching TV, and spending time with people. Care needs: We’re looking for someone kind, patient, and reliable, with experience supporting people who have brain injuries and/or mild dementia. An energetic and outgoing personality is a plus. We need someone dependable who can follow through, take initiative, and truly enjoys caregiving. No smokers or drug users, please. Hours: About 20 hours per week. Services needed: Companionship Mobility assistance (transfers to wheelchair/bed/toilet) Bathing and dressing Feeding assistance
