We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and compassionate caregiver to provide full-time, in-home care for our elderly grandmother, who is in her 70s and living with advanced Alzheimer’s and dementia, significant mobility challenges, and incontinence issues. She weighs approximately 300 lbs and may be bedridden for extended periods, requiring full assistance with nearly every aspect of daily living. This is a high-dependency care position and is not suitable for entry-level caregivers or unlicensed aides. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience supporting patients with late-stage dementia, incontinence, limited mobility, and pressure sore risk. You must be capable of performing safe patient handling/lifting and responding to cognitive decline with patience, consistency, and empathy. The ideal candidate is a CNA, HHA, or experienced private-duty caregiver with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of dementia behaviors, including confusion, agitation, and mood swings. You will work closely with our family and, at times, other care professionals such as nurses or hospice staff. In addition to physical support, this role requires someone who will help preserve our grandmother’s dignity and comfort, keep her living space safe and clean, prepare nutritious meals, and maintain daily care logs. You must be reliable, emotionally intelligent, detail-oriented, and committed to improving her quality of life.
