Looking for a dedicated, patient, and punctual caregiver near Staunton, VA to take care of Father-in-law. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Personal Care and Mobility Assist with getting out of bed in the morning or returning to bed in the evening. There is an AM and PM shift. Safely operate a Sara Stedy sit-to-stand transfer device. Assist with toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Assist with wheelchair positioning and comfort. Meals and Daily Activities Prepare simple meals, primarily heating frozen or prepared foods. Serve meals and beverages. No direct feeding required, but assistance is sometimes needed. Provide companionship and dementia-appropriate interaction. Assist with light housekeeping directly related to his care. Monitor comfort, hygiene, and general well-being. Observe suprapubic catheter tubing and drainage for obvious concerns, following family and nursing instructions. Report changes in condition or safety concerns to the family. Maintain a clean and safe caregiving environment. MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must meet all requirements: Experience caring for individuals with dementia. Experience safely operating a Sara Stedy or comparable sit-to-stand device. Experience assisting wheelchair-dependent individuals with transfers and personal care. Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality. Non-smoker. No smoking or vaping during shifts or on the property. Dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional. Available for the scheduled shifts: 9a-12p and/or 4p-8p COMPENSATION Hourly Rate: $20 Help is needed: Sunday morning 9a - 1p Sunday evening 4p - 8p Monday morning 9a - 1p Monday evening 4p - 8p Thursday morning 9a - 1p Thursday evening 4p - 8p Friday morning 9a - 1p Friday evening 4p - 8p All applicants will be considered.
