We’re looking for part-time daytime support for for a 75-year-old man in Shelton, WA. He’s in the early stages of Alzheimer’s and is starting to skip meals and meds, nap irregularly, and needs someone checking in to keep his day on track. He's mobile and conversational, long term memory and task follow-through are where he struggles. We need someone who can stop by 2–3 hours a day on weekdays to: • Make sure he eats (ideally some light meal prep) • Support him with getting some movement like exercise bike, walking, home PT • Do medication reminders • Provide light companionship • Light house-keeping if he's been messing around in the kitchen • Keep an eye on safety He does best with a calm, steady presence. Reliability matters more than certifications, but experience with dementia is preferred. He can also be a flirt, so female care providers need to be comfortable holding their boundaries about the professional relationship - this isn't always an issue, we just want to be transparent. We also have a goofy, friendly, larger dog in the home for his companionship, so you would need to be comfortable with dogs.
