I became a caregiver in 1989 because I have always been drawn to the elderly since a very young age. When my grandmother was in a nursing facility, I would visit her neighbors along her wing. I love being a caregiver because I can make a difference in other's lives, and help family to understand the needs of their loved ones. Keeping them home makes all the difference in their dignity. I feel I have achieved a reputation of being a kind, loving, compassionate, caregiver, who loves her patients and cares for them as of they were my grandparents. My passion in life is to care for others and make a difference.

I enjoy being able to help people who may have some trouble doing things on their own. I love to listen to them and have a relationship that means something to them. The most important thing to people with any kind of disability is to make them feel that they are important and that they are not a bother to have around. They don't want to be treated as a person with a disability. I love to be able to make all kinds of people feel that they do have someone to listen and care and make them feel wanted.
I enjoy helping other people that can no longer help them selves. They can be funny at times and there's times you cry with them. They become your family. I enjoy being with them and learning different things. My greatest acheivement was when I saved a resident from chocking when I worked for Chapman Health Care.
Hi, my name is Shakira Marbury and I'm was an CNA a year ago; I've been a CNA for 3 years and a half. I loved what I did and I love what I do now which is taking care of my grandmother. Being a caregiver takes alot of patients and courage and those are some personality traits I do have for this particular job. My mom has been a CNA for years and she have encouraged me to stay in this field and she knew I had the potential to do it. My favorite part of being a caregiver is meeting new people and being around different personalities. Being the best caregiver that I can be is my personal achievement that I'm proud of.
Hello! My name is Brittaney, and I look forward to being your special persons, caregiver. I have exactly 8 years of experience in helping elderly/disabled people. What attracted me, was my grandmother. She was always such an on the person, that when she was diagnosed with leukemia, everything came to a halt. Then, shortly after, she had a stoke, and she had to have constant care. What i enjoy most about caring after people is the company I offer. The way i make them feel, makes me feel great. I love helping people that need it most. I love being able to turn your darkest hour, into your brightest day. With all of that said, I look forward to hearing from you!
