I am a mother of three girls and I love to take care of people and make sure that they are happy.. I'm very friendly and outgoing and love meeting new people... I helped my mother take care of my grandma until she had to go into a facility that was better equipped in taking care of her until her last days.. I was an stay at home parent for 14yrs because my first child was born at 26 wks and was 2lbs 1/2 oz at birth so I had to be at home to take care of her.
As long as I can remember I have always liked helping people that's why i started out being a CNA over 10 years ago. I find joy in being able to assist others with things that they can't seem to do anymore or even just being a listening ear when they want to talk about their good old days.
I have always enjoyed working with people in their homes because you get that one on one!they get the attention that they need and the care they need! Growing up my mom always told me to work with elderly because I was always good with them! I am a dependable trustworthy person People I have worked for in their homes would always say I can be trusted
Being a great caregiver is just treating your client with respectful most of all. Following the rules but making your client as comfortable as possible ... I became a caregiver when i called & signed up for Jordan Health Services & i loved it every since...i enjoy being a caregiver because i love helping others, i love meeting new people. & see'n others feel & look good! Everybody needs help. My proudest achievements ate just bonding & loving my client as if it my parent. Because what most fail to realize is thats somebody parent too that your taking care of & if you want respect you have to get it .
I have been around elderly patients since 1996. My first job and in a nursing home in the dietary department. After working in that department I realized I wanted to be more involved with patient care. I received my CNA license in 2003. I have worked in facilities, home health aide for companies and privately. I enjoy the relationships I form with the patients and their families. They become my family.
The fact of just being able, wanting, and loving to be there to help others is rewarding for me itself the great feeling it brings and smile it gives to my heart. My mother and grandmother attracted me to being a caregiver the most, but also being there to help others in the world to see the joy and smiles on their faces from even the smallest things. I enjoy being able to listen, gain wisdom, embrace the love, and leaving moments to remember just by simply being there for someone else. I can say I'm proud of finally being able to get my CNA certificate, furthering my career in Medical Assistant and showing my children to never give up, it's not ever too late!
I became a caregiver so I could help take care of my dad. I treat my clients like I want my parents treated. I receive satisfaction and reward in knowing that I can help someone do something that they can't do on their own. I am continuing my education to become a nurse. I'm a veteran and retired truck driver looking for part time work to subsidize income while I continue my education. I enjoy caring for those who can't care for themselves. I'm married and have two children at home.
