I started being a caregiver when I was 19 years old my grandmother had a stroke and I took care of her. I have a daughter that needed a liver transplant at 5 month old. Unfortunately she got cancer at three years old from the inner rejection medicine . My husband got cancer about 12 years agoI taking care of him. Worked in a memory care facility. I have my food handling card CPR card and first aide. I'm certified in dementia and Alzheimer's .

The most rewarding about care giving is when it felt like there is some sort of purpose in my work. There is a great opportunity to really get me to engage and have the routine like I am doing something bigger than myself because at the end of the day that is where I am going, going more towards what am I doing that is impacting others, how am I helping them because at the end of the day that is what I want to do. I want to help people and I want to be there to provide a service and really help those out who are in need.

I AM LOOKING FOR PART TIME , 2 2 HOUR SHIFTS A WEEK, . I BECAME A CAREGIVER BECAUSE I HAD ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A NURSE BUT LOST THE OPPORTUNITY EARLY ON IN LIFE AND CAREGIVING SEEMED A GREAT OPTION, I AM A NURTURER AND CARING FOR PEOPLE IS A PLEASURE. I WORKED FOR A COMPANY YEARS AGO AND BECAME THE MANAGER OF MY DEPARTMENT, I WAS PROUD OF MYSELF AND LOVED MY WORK, UNFORTUNATELY I WAS REPLACED BY A MANAGER THAT THOUGHT A MAN COULD DO A BETTER JOB, THANKFULLY TIMES HAVE CHANGED ABIT. I AM SINGLE AND I HAVE A HOME I LOVE WITH A BIG YARD AND LOTS OF FLOWERS ALL OF WHICH ARE WAY TOO MUCH WORK BUT IT IS MY JOY, I HAVE 4 DOGS AND A CAT THAT ARE ALL MY LOVES. I HAVE 2 GRANDDAUGHTERS I NEVER SEE DUE TO DISTANCE AND I HAVE A SON THAT I DON'T SEE OFTEN, I HAVE GREAT FRIENDS AND WE ENJOY THE SYMPHONY AND GOING OUT TO DINNER AND WHATEVER ELSE GOOD WE CAN GET INTO. I LOVE MUSIC AND READING AND WATCHING TV. I AM ALSO A DOG SITTER.

I became a care giver when my mom passed away in 2007. She had a client that I knew, and her family asked me if I would take over. I then got a job with another company through a friend. I enjoy older people. Taking care or them and being a companion to help them out. I have transported clients to the dr, store or even out to eat and movies. Getting out seems to help people with depression. They enjoy it.

I feel so much compassion for others that need some help but still want to be as independent as possible. I have integrity and honesty. I am willing to listen and be emphatic. I fell into being a caregiver when my first husband had a traumic brain injury and found that most spouses leave when this happens, from that time on I became a voice for the TBI persons. My 2nd husband became ill with lung cancer and back to the caregiver mode again. We were able to keep him alive for 3 and 1/2 years with stage 4 cancer because I was his advocate and medical Representative for those years. My most personal achievement came when I was working with disabled persons and was able to learn to communicate with a non verbal down syndrome lady and taught her family to do so also. I have a active finger print card, and CPR card.

Having just completed my training at CareGiver Training Institute, passing the State Exam, and becoming certified in both the AHA First Aid and AHA BLA/CPR Programs, I am excited to embark on a new career as a Certified Caregiver/Med-Tech. While I have yet to obtain work experience in this capacity, I have over two years volunteer experience in which I provided respite care through Odyssey Health Care, as well as volunteering for the Eastside Neighbors Volunteer Program by driving seniors to appointments and/or assisting with shopping needs. I am a compassionate, empathetic, and dependable individual with over twenty-five years experience in dealing with people, as well as countless volunteer hours through the years in working with the elderly as well as with young children through the Vail School District. I have a heart and passion for making a difference in peoples' lives and while this type of work can be challenging, I feel it is very rewarding/satisfying. I also possess a State of AZ Dept. of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card which is good through 9/26/2025, so you don't have to worry about your loved ones safety while they are under my care.

I am currently a student at Pima community college pursuing my RN degree. I left a position as a corporate executive to pursue a more satisfying career that would allow me to utilize my knowledge and abilities to care for others. Knowing it will take a few years to get my degree, I chose to become a Certified Nursing Assistant so I can start to help those who are in need of care now.

I'm retired. Worked at Tucson Airport checking bags and persons, retired 2014. I worked at UofA computer center, retired. Worked a Old Tucson Studios for three years. Working part time for Homewatch caregiver driving clients for several reasons. Im a great companion. I drive for appts and shopping.
