I took care of my Mother for 2 years. She had dementia. I cared and cooked for mom. I took her to Dr appointments. I also had mom in hospice so I know somethings about hospice. I also care for a daughter that suffered a massive stroke. I'm also a certified ordained Chaplain. I love working with people.

I am an excellent caregiver and medical attendant because I have a natural gift for treating people, especially the elderly, with the respect and care they need and deserve. I have cared for my 91 yr old grandma til she passed so she could be home. I have cared for 104 yr old lady that lived by herself up to 1 week before she passed. Then she was sent to hospice house. I tend to put myself in my clients position, endeavor to provide the kind of care I would love to receive should I be in that position and do all I can to ensure the comfortability and contentment of my clients. Growing up as a child, there were numerous times I came to encounter people who were in there need of a hug, someone to depend on and to help navigate their daily needs and saw how well my mom and aunt cared for these people in their own small ways. I also saw the look of satisfaction on people's faces and I always wanted to be that person who is there to help when need be.

I have always had a deep compassion for people and did volunteer work for San Diego Hospice before becoming a caregiver in 2009. I am one of 7 siblings and in 2009 took on the responsibility of overseeing the care of my elderly father. I became a caregiver to better understand his needs and he passed away in my home after 3 years. I have deeply connected with clients and their families over the years and have been asked to be with the client as they passed away because their family knew and appreciated how connected we had become. I have been with a meditation center for 20 years which also helped me to connect to clients.
