I knew I wanted to be a caregiver since childhood. My biggest accomplishment would be graduating from the nursing program while working full time with very young children.

I became a caregiver after caring for my grandmother after she fell ill. I love being able to help people. I love making others happy and making a difference in the lives of others. This is what I enjoy doing. I am proud of the fact I change peoples lives everyday. I have been a CNA for 7 years and have worked in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, and now corrections. I have worked with residents with dementia and alzheimers. I absolutely loved it!

I am a 26 year old single mom. I was born and raised around DeKalb on a farm. I love sports and being active but really love helping others. I started caregiving when I was 18 for my great grandma and have been doing it ever since. I have a passion for it and I tryed to go work other places but found that caregiveing is where I was actually happy .

I am a male who is currently going to school to become a nurse. I've have worked with people with mental and physical disabilities for a year now at an organization in which we house about 100 clients. I am familiar with giving out medicine especially control substance and doing showers. I love what I do and I'll always enforce good hygiene and encourage clients to stay active.

My passion for becoming a caregiver started when I was a very young child. My mother would take me and my brother to visit my grandparents in nursing homes. I saw how well cared for people can taken care of. But it really started to sink in that I could do this when I was 17 my cousin was dying of stage 4 breast cancer. I helped her for 8 months every day. Taking her to doctor visits, reminding her to take her meds, making meals for her and bathing/dressing her. While in this time she showed me that I had compassion and a heart for a job like this. A lot of people can say that care giving is easy, but if they dont have a strong stomach for certain things and a heart of gold not many can call this a career. I'm a full believer that when a person is in need to medical help and able to be at home it is 100% better for that individual. Its their surroundings, their home, their comfort. And when you add a supportive family it makes everything a whole lot better too. I also believe that our elderly deserve the very best care that they can get. After all a lot have had families of their own, raised their childern,worked for years, and now that they are older they deserve the very best care that there is out there.

I've worked in Health care for over 15 years. Started in nursing homes at the age of 16. Have worked as a live in caregiver for persons with disabilities , also worked in hospitals and have been doing private duty for the past 4 years. I love what i do and really enjoy helping people and making them smile. I have all updated requirements and personal references including personal liability insurance.
