Or if they were your loved one! Let them know that you can be trusted. Keep them safe and their home safe from falls. Wash their face, comb their hair, brush their teeth, etc....make them feel good and refreshed! Respect their religion and ask questions! Listen to them and pay attention to what they are telling you. Respect them and their home! I love helping others that have a hard time helping themselves. It's rewarding to me and it comes from my HEART! I have helped my whole family who have passed in their home with cancer, heart problems, Parkinson's disease, and not one went to a nursing home! This is why I became a CNA! It gave me such gratitude and made me feel good to see them smile at me everyday for making them feel good! When I walk through a patients front door I walk into Their home! With a smile on my face leaving my problems behind me! It's all about the PATIENT! The Patient Always Comes First!!
