My passion for working with the elderly started when I was in middle school, volunteering at my local nursing home. Why did I become a Caregiver? I have been gifted with Compassion and Empathy. My diverse life experiences have allowed me to care for people with Dignity and Grace. I see those I care for as a whole person not Just their disease, disability or situation. During my hands on experience in Group Homes, One on One companionship, Private CNA Caregiver, Nursing Home and Nanny experience. I have acquired many skills and tools that have allowed me to care for others with dignity and grace. Despite their dementia, schizophrenia, autism, Asperger's, or mental illness. The Individuals I care for celebrate this person-centered care. I see and respect them as the most important person in my Now. A personal achievement I am proud of is my Patience, Love and Understanding. My ability to adapt quickly. I moved to Florida three summers ago from Minnesota. I have yet to get used to the Florida summers. However, I do enjoy and embrace the Flora, Foliage and Fauna. I see something new everyday. My new favorite Florida bird is the Painted Bunting. I been c.n.a for 17yr and I love doing this kind of work. One thing I can say is dis is my career of choice. I love take care of ealdy people.the most thing I like about my job is the smile I put on my residents face. I'm proud of when I come into work and my residents are so excited to see me. I been c.n.a for 17yr and out them 17yr have not working with ealdy people. I also have my t.m.a license.

I became a caregiver in the beginning because I needed a job but quickly found that's really where my heart is. I wouldn't work in any other profession.
