I'm a very Loving caring person with many skills. My calling in being a caregiver is to provide Companionship and making you feel comfortable and loved as if you were one of my family members. I've completed many achievement that I am proud of. Being flexible, determined on doing my best are some which I am most proud of.

I worked 25 years in the Rutherford County School System as a Custodian and a Lunchroom Worker. I learned many skills in my years working there. How to be a team player was one of the many skills I learned. My references included 3 Principal's that I worked for.

I am a patient, dedicated and compassionate caregiver. I am a firm believer in caring for others the way I want my loved ones cared for. From my experience, memory care, dementia and the special needs clients are extra rewarding to work with. Every interaction matters and has the potential to make one feel better.

I am a very generous, empathetic, sensitive person, amongst other nice traits. What attracted me to be a caregiver is seeing as how many people in my family that's needed help along with other people I know. I enjoy most about being a caregiver is seeing the smile on people's faces when I show up to help them. I became a care giver when my father had lung cancer, I lived with him and was his soul caregiver. I also cared for my mother in law that had alzheimer's for eight years. My brother was born with cp and had 21 surgeries over his childhood. We all played apart in his recovery he now has a job at AAA! I have worked at customer Service at Kohl's department store for eight years and enjoy working with the public meeting new people and helping people! I only work one day a week for health benefits. What makes me a great caregiver would have to be my patience, compassion, consideration, empathy, attention to detail and my love for others. I treat others with the same respect that I would want. My mother was diagnosed with a savvier disorder for sleep apnea when I was only 4. 3 yrs later she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, nerve damage then formed from diabetes as well as sugar issues. 5 months later she was then diagnosed with lupus. She also had a fluid disorder, arthritis, obesity, blood disorder (polycythemia vera), She was never diagnosed but we believed she had formed dementia 1 yr before her death. I took on the responsibility of taking care of her at 17. When I was 18 she had to undergo a thrombectomy (surgery to remove blood clots). She had 1 1/2 gallons removed. When she came home I was her caretaker/caregiver for her surgery recovery. I took her to and from her appointments, helped her bath, fixed her meals, administered her medications and kept up with her medications and ran her errands. I would have to say this as well as the job I worked as a health aid has attracted me to be a great caregiver. I have also dealt with and still deal with epilepsy, My sister and my aunt have grandma seizures, my cousin has pseudoseizures ( not epileptic they are emotion stress induced). What I most enjoy is the one on one bond that you gain from the resident you are caring for. This type of job gives someone a nice sense of respect, It helps one gain more knowledge and helps family's in need of help to get that help. It takes a lot for someone to leave there loved one with a stranger, I gain a sense of respect and honesty to be trusted with this individual. A personal achievement that I am proud of would have to be taking care of my mom as well as being there for my sister, aunt, and cousin. There is a lot of health problems in my family and I am proud that I am the one that is able to help them.

I have been a CNA in Georgia for over 17 years and I have worked in Nursing home, Rehab clinics, In home care, and hospitals. I'm the best of the best when it come to being a caregiver. I have many references and a clean work record. I am committed to making a positive approach in all aspects in my career and I take pride in my work.
